When does Summer officially start?

I think June or July 21st.......... basically the summer equinox............ 12 hours sunshine & 12 hours dark 😀 Probaly June........ gotta check the calender.

Spring and Autumnal(sp?) Equinox (supposedly) give you 12 hours of day/night and the Summer and Winter Solstice mark when the days begin to get shorter and longer respectively.

A neat fact is that on the Equinox's you do not actually get 12 hours each, you get more sunlight. This is because the index of refraction of earth's atmosphere is (obviously) greater than the vacuumus space, so light actually 'bends light' as it comes in allowing you to see the sun after it has gone down. Cool eh?
