When does ATI generally release new drivers?

What time of the month do they usually hit the release? It's been a while since I've had an ATI card, and the current 6.9's don't support the X1950XTX. (Yes I know there are hacked drivers out)

Usually in the last 7-10 days of any given month... I would expect the 6.10 drivers sometime next week.

Yup, unlike Nvidia which gives you a mess of a billion zillion drivers everymonth.
And then we're suppoe to sort out the good from the bad.

Well one good driver out of a few possibilities is better than a bad driver period.

OP, expect 6.10 soon. I'm personally waiting for a WHQL set for Vista that runs halfway decent.

It seems they release them every 33 - 35 days or so. As the drivers ussually appear a little over a month after the last release. This is of course speculation.

But I remember a few months ago they came out at the beginning-middle of the month and now that have worked there way to the end of the month.

Right. Not everybody has the time to dig through a pile of junk to find the one that works well for their needs, though. :disgust:

Thats what driver reviews are for like the ones on Tweaksrus.

Current best recommendation is the XG 92.91's if anyone really cares.
