Seriously, teying to guess the housing market is nearly impossible. One "expert" will tell you the crash is coming "next week," while the others say next year, next decade......

Looking to spend 400-500k on a 5+ bedroom house, currently in a 3 bedroom here in California. I wonder if the prices will drop by next summer. I also wonder if i should wait for a brand new house to be built or buy a 2019 sooner then later. I hate decisions But it seems it keeps going up and up, there are less houses for sale and interest rates are so low.

I am also considering buying 20 acres and building my own house with a pistachio grove.

Any ideas / theories /

Thanks for the reply, think they are going to accept my offer on 3 car garage 4 bedroom 3 bath 3000sqft with pool on a 12,000 lot for around 400k after closing costs, i was hoping to get a 6 bedroom 4 bathroom but doubt it would have came witha pool, i know i overpaid and still need to figure out solar hopefully before the end of the year to get some tax breaks but what ever, ill keep it for 3 or 4 years then buy a brand new house i think.

Didn't buy, again you must read my posts to be more involved. Waiting forever to see if they accept my offer(it's been exactly one week with everyday they say tomorrow they will tell me). I was hoping they reject my offer and I build a brand new 6 bedroom house but they are not building new houses now. I think they will prob take this offer.
