Hist 110 American History to 1877
Math 210 Introduction to Mathematics
Phil 201 Elementary Logic
Phil 315 Philosophies and Religions of China and Japan
Hist 341 Rome: Republic and Empire

I'm deciding between a History and a Philosophy major. This semester will be the first in which I take 300-level classes of either, but if I do go towards History I will probably get a Philosophy minor anyways (I would only need 3 more classes).

Whatever I choose I know I'll be flipping burgers.

I was a History major/Philosophy minor, graduated in 2002. I didn't have any clue as to what I was going to do with a history degree, and it really bit me in the ass.

Only second full day?

I've been in classes since 1/3, but then again, I'm only taking 4 classes (Quarter system FTW). I guess 4 classes = 3 hours per class/week + 5 hours for Chem Lab and Discussion (~17 hours/week + homework).

How so? I am not really concerned with my degree being the key to my career or anything.. really I'm just getting it because a few things I want to do require one (teaching abroad and Peace Corps for example). If I end up caving in to the whole high salary crappy job deal I'll become a lawyer.

Changed my mind today after two overfilled classes wouldn't take me...

Architecture 428 - Architecture and Culture in the Islamic World
English 301 - Writing and Rhetorical Conventions
Math 107 - Elementary Functions
Philosophy 201 - Elementary Logic
Economics 101 - Fundamentals of Microeconomics

After some careful thought and consideration, I dropped all but one of my previous classes and will instead be going for a B.A. in Philosophy, pre-law major, with a minor in economics. This lets me still take classes I'm interested in while not having as worthless a major as a History w/Philosophy minor. Should I choose to switch to Economics major, Philosophy minor, that wouldn't be a problem either. Or maybe a double major. Wooohoo!

Don't make fun of my math.. I haven't taken a math course in 3 years and after that course can get Calculus overwith and be done with it all 🙂
