When do you pick out what you are going to wear?

depends on the occasion I guess. Prom was picked out like a month or two in advance. The last 3 years of college were picked out while walking out the door.
 
Depends. If I've got to do something special that day I'll pick it out the night before (mainly because I need to make sure it's clean) if it's something for class/work usually a few minutes after I I should have left.
 
Never.

Sometimes, I get to work FIRST and then realize what I'm wearing. It's fun. Somehow, I manage to not screw up, ever.

I'm not much of the "plan ahead" type.

tbh this is embarrassingly close to how it really works during college, but now that I'm working this summer I actually have to make sure there are clean clothes to be worn.

LOL this thread reminded me I need to do the laundry before tomorrow also

but yea its usually right before I put it on but thats mostly because i never have anything planned. If i know i am going to go somewhere ill pick it out before.

What are youse college students? Pigs? Never heard of a laundry room? For just a few coins, you can make your clothes clean and stink-free!

I know about laundry...I've been married for over 30 years, and I usually do the laundry in our house...and do a much better job of it than my wife does...(and I'm a full-time college student myself...)


Most of the time, I pick out my clothes to wear the night before, but about half the time, I change my mind when I'm getting ready for school...However, Friday I ALWAYS wear an aloha shirt...ALWAYS. Been a habit for MANY years, even on construction jobs...For a while, I quit, and only wore the aloha shirts if I was quitting the job that day...(aloha means hello, but it also means good-bye) No classes during summer semester though, so that'll have to wait until fall...



edit: BTW Dain, pretty soon, you won't have to worry much about picking out wardrobe...most of the time, it will all look the same...During boot camp, you won't have too many opportunities to wear anything but your cammies...(gawd I hate the new digital camo)
You WILL have to learn how to prepare and wear the different uniforms assigned to EVERY Marine however, and like most, will soon hate the polyester crap they make MOST them out of...
 
Day to day I just put everything together right before I put it on. When I go out at night or need to dress nicer for something I might start thining a little in advance, but I know what I have so i just put it together in my head then put it on.
 
Well...

i ask the missus nicely to iron everything come sunday.

i then pick randomly throughout the week, saving my sexiest shirt for friday 🙂

simple 🙂
 
Often I don't even look.

Underwear: check
Pants: check
shirt: check
socks: check
shoes: check
grab the wallet and keys and walk out the door.

I do my laundry and then all of my clothes just sit in a pile in the corner of my room until they are dirty again. Then I repeat the process, for some reason I never make it the whole nine yards of getting them washed and put away.


I just pick out a pair of pants, a shirt, underwear and socks to wear, no thought at all behind it.
