I thought we only use high beam when we drive in a fogging condition/weather. People on opposite of the lane used their high beams while the nothing wrong with the weather that pissed me off....Geez... or I am wrong about that???

You may be unfit to drive.
Seriously. How do they give licenses to people who think high beams are for fog?

They are not fog lights but to use them in the fogging condition give you a better view of what infront of you...so you dont run into people.

How old are you, and where the fvck did you "learn" that? Have you EVER attempted to drive in thick fog with your high beams on?

😕

lol high/full beams in fog = a white wall infront of your windscreen. the fog particles do noithing but reflect all that light back at you. if you guys get fog like we sometimes do...even normal dipped headlamps dont help you. full beams in fog just doesnt work

We get fog here in the valley in CA where I can sometimes only barely see one yellow line at a time on the road. I've driven right by my house before sometimes - house I grew up in sat back a ways from the road and you couldn't see it in bad fog - even with lights on.

If other drivers are flashing their high beams at you and you don't have your high beams on, then you should probably have your headlights adjusted because they may be pointing too high.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. Turn in your license.

Please turn in your license you shouldn't be driving.

People in Cali flash their headlights for a couple of reasons:

1. Cops are not too far away so slow down (thank you to those who do this).

2. They are being d!ckwads.

3. Did it by accident?

Or to signal to dickwads who don't turn their highbeams off when another car gets close.

Easy.

Quick two-flash to tell them. Then two longer flashes. Then, just stick 'em on and hold them until they've gone past. They'll get the message pretty quickly.

What irritates me is people who use their fog lights as extra driving lights. Morons.

For those who asked me to turn in my license are insane (Just for not knowing when to use high beam Wow..). Should I say that your comments were not necessary here. Jeez....

Not knowing how\when to use high beams can kill you or someone else. You really should take it more seriously.

Yeah, I love people that flash me for cops. A BMW on the interstate totally saved me from a cop on my way home for Thanksgiving.

BTW, what is the penalty for flashing your lights as a warning of a speed trap?

that's actually not true. you ARE NOT supposed to use high beams when it's foggy.

people flash you when your high beams are on because they are so freaking bright that it often blinds drivers in the opposing lane.

you seriously are unfit to drive.

I use em when I want to drive fast at night. Otherwise, I hate messing with them. If I have to keep turning them off and on, I'd rather not sue them.

Probably depends where you live. I'm sure each state/county could be different.
I did hear of a guy on the news a year or so ago that the cop busted him for doing that but the guy took it to court. I think the court decided in his favor if i recall correctly.
