I believe all Rutgers has to do is win out and they will have a shot at the OSU/Michigan winner. USC, Florida, and ND will all lose one more time this weekend. ND will lose to USC, USC will lose to Cal, and Florida will lose to Arkansas.

While I agree with you, I don't think Rutgers will beat WVU in Morgantown.

It will be fun to watch. No defense in the nation can contain WVU's offense.

WVU is gonna win. I'm surprised Rutgers went as high as they did this week.

Not really. When Slaton was out, Louisville knew the play was going to be quarterback draw, and they still couldn't stop it. Turnovers and special teams saved the day for Louisville.

You need Arkansas to lose to LSU. If Arkansas wins out, goes undefeated in the SEC, beats Florida for the SEC Championship game, a 12-1 Arkansas will be (well) ahead of rutgers.

WoW USC moved up alot. So much that even if Florida wins out, including the SEC Championship game, it will take a loss by USC for Florida to make it to the title game.

And who beats Ark? If Ark wins out they will play for the NC.

Nobody, but if Rutgers wins out, Arkansas won't jump Rutgers.

They will have beaten LSU and Florida on consecutive weeks. They will jump Rutgers on SOS.

They still have two more to win. Don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch.

If SOS was such a big factor, Rutgers wouldn't be 6 now. They have become the darlings of the two polls. If they win out, they will be 2 in both.

Florida won't lose unless both their quarterbacks don't show up. They have 2 really easy teams left.

And I don't think they are playing arkansas.

If Ark beats Miss St next week they will play UF in the SEC Champ game. And Arkansas will run all over them.

If that happens it would be tragic.

Im sorry but if Arkansas only loss to USC they deserve the title game(if USC loses). Why?

Lets see, they will have beaten the #2 team at the time, the #4 team at the time, #12 team at the time and the #13 teams at the time. Im sorry but that should trump an undefeated Big East teams with two wins vs ranked opponents.

You might be right. There technically is no SOS in the BCS anymore. But SOS does play a factor in all the polls. So it all depends on how the ranking sort out at the end, You may be right about Rutgers being the media darling, but that will only affect the Coaches poll. The computers won't care. The computers will go for SOS.

Well hey, you shouldn't get absol-fvcking-utely blasted 50-14 either.

Oh, and also did you say in a previous thread about the NC, a team that starts the season unranked (like Rutgers) should not play for the NC? Well looky looky, Arkansas started the season unranked too.

EDIT: Here's the thread:

It's a big factor in the COMPUTER polls. Go look and who has the 2nd best computer rating. I'll give you a hint.. It's Rutgers.

The problem for Rutgers is that the aggregate computer poll average only accounts for 1/3 of the formula. The Harris and USAToday polls are what matter most. If they keep winning they will have the #2 spot locked up, because someone in the ND/USC game will lose and someone in the Ark/Fla. game will lose.

Of course, all of this is contingent on either UM or OSU blowing the other team out. If they play a close game, it will be awfully hard to drop them very far in the human polls and the computer polls will not drop them much at all.

Ranking when you beat someone doesn't mean anything.

What if Michigan loses? Their only loss will have been on the road against the #1 team in the country, and they would have beaten two teams that are currently ranked in the top 10 of the BCS. Notre Dame and Wisconsin both have 1 loss this season.. Both to Michigan. How is Arkansas any more deserving than Michigan? Michigan will have played a tougher overall schedule too. That's according to the computers, not my opinion.
