Hmm, let's just redefine history to mean only the past 500 years. This stupid revisionist history judging the actions of nations from the past from a modern cultural perspective is just nuts!

Never understood why the same people who oppose any form of 'moral relativism' when it comes to different cultures separated by geography, are always quick to endorse the same concept when it's about separation in time.

Imperialism, in one form or another, has been around for at least 5,000 years. It's just the winners and losers that have changed over the time. Before that it was clashing tribes, before that - some dude smashing in the skull of another to take the deer he killed. People will violently protect their interests and violently obtain what they desire by whatever means they can. If the 'other' looks different - all the better.

This may be true (though it depends exactly how precisely one defines 'imperailism' - it's usually used to describe a very particular phenomenon, and wouldn't fit, say, the Roman Empire). But so what?

-That's like the most billionaire name ever.

Does he have an underwater city founded on the principals of objectivism?

Name sounds like a villain from the MCU. Or maybe DC?

Though ideally he'd do billionaire shit during the day and at night would dress up in a black cape and go out pecking at corpses.

How? Johnson, with the civil rights and voting rights acts of 64/65 opened the door to the republicans in the south, and he knew it. Sometimes one pays for doing the right thing.
How? Truman integrated the armed forces ehich pissed off a huge group of whites since there is a huge military presence in the South and Midwest.

Now imagine how the communities surrounding places like Ft Hood, TX, Ft Benning, GA, Ft Campbell, KY, Ft Jackson, SC and dozens of other military bases in FZL, GA, AL, TX, LA, KS, and the rest of the old Confederate states took to yhese newly “equal” darkies.

Keep working on it. I think you can figure out why one is moral relativism and the other is not.

Thanks, clearly that pissed off a lot of people. But, that was limited to the military - the other laws directly forced southern state's hands. It tool away one tool for marginalizing blacks via the political system. Since the dems did this - they became the targets to blame and the republicans had no hesitation in exploiting this weakness.

You're gonna have to explain it, otherwise I'll just assume you don't have an answer.

Fair enough. Anyway, next time don’t quote me directly and then mention 'some people'. I was forced to assume you weren’t an idiot but were acting as such as a means to accuse me (and my kind I guess) of some sort of lie. What did you expect? Flowers?

Yoda said it best: "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."

Conservatism is rooted in fear which makes them very reactionary, but also very predictable.
