When did nurses switch from the white outfit to scrubs?

It's like trying to work in pyjamas! And the pockets are really rubbish! You spend most of your time picking up all your crap that keeps falling out of them.
Plus if you aren't wearing "controlling" underwear then everything flaps around alarmingly!


Hmmm. I wear tightie whites (well in colors) so no problem there. LOL

In the OR we all (physicians included) wear scrubs from the scrub vending machine. They are centrally sterilized/cleaned.

Scrubs were sold as comfortable everyday wear for everybody some years back. I bought some and I think that some people didn't like seeing me wear a shirt that they may have associated with bad news in a hospital.
