I just built my computer. I powered it on, and it posts, but that screen goes by so fast I can't read it. I want to see if it recognizes the CPU. Can't really see the cpu in the bios. I am using a Gigabyte P35 DS3L board. Any tips?

press DEL when you power it up to get into BIOS. if it's a new build I would suggest you get the latest non beta bios and flash it.

There is some info on the bios boot screen that doesn't show up in the bios. I know what you mean about it scrolling by quickly - damn those fast pc's. You might be able to catch it with the pause key - takes a lot of practice. With some bios's enabling the memory test (non-quick boot) will enable some info to be viewed.

Every bios I've seen will display the cpu type and speed somewhere. Many don't display the current ram settings or voltages. This usually isn't a problem if using Windows since there are many capable utils available that do: SpeedFan, CPUZ, and PC Wizard to name a few.

Sometimes you have to hit TAB to show the bios load screen instead of the manuf logo. Then press the pause/break key to stop it in its tracks.
