cf splinters in the arse.. omg... that'd suck soooo much..

carbon fiber is super crazy, why would they make car parts out of a lighter weaker material (cars.. not hybrids 😉 )

It's the riced out carbon fiber looking fiberglass you must be thinking of.

CF also conducts electricity. A few guys found that out the hard way by setting their m/c seats on fire.

Not that it has anything to do with toilet seats.

I guess you shouldn't hook a battery up to your toilet seat.

I'm rambling now.

What exactly is carbon fiber and why do I want it on my toilet seat?
It's lighter and stronger. Less likely to shatter in the event you've just come home from a chili-eating contest. 😛

Actually it's just ligher. It's much weaker than steel or aluminum.

incorrect. CF is much, much stiffer (pound for pound) than steel or aluminum.

Don't forget... sitting on a carbon fiber toilet seat is just as bad as sitting on a steel toilet seat.... during a lightening storm. Be careful what you use in the outhouse, if you live in West Virginia.

/also rambling.

some conduct better than others. usually, the more graphitic the fiber, the better conductor it is. the seats caught on fire because the fiber got hot, meaning it was resisting the flow of electricity.

You know you're REALLY into performance when you paint them before installation to match the toilet.

The carbon content conducts- the resin insulates for the most part. So it depends on exposed fibers.
