Want 4k res 60fps don't care about shadows.. rx480 crossfire or 1080ti or 1060 sli sounds perfect. Even 1070 sli if the cards are 350 each. I'd like to spend 700 or less. Rx480 with custom coolers be ideal . When will there be cards for regular prices.

A release date chart be good. One that says when cards released and then when custom cooled cards be released.

The problem is crossfire / sli is hit or miss so it may not be your best option.

Either a 1080 or 1070 will be your best fix right now as it will be months before the 1080 ti, expect it to cost more then $700 when first released, or vega are released.

4k + 60 fps. that is pretty tough. unless you are willing to turn down some settings, with some games I doubt even 2 vega/1080 ti can do that with certain games. and they are way over your budget. a single 1080 ti will probably be 700-800$ that is the cost of a mid range pc.

All i wanted to know was when i could buy 2x 1060 or 2x modified rx480.. tho the 4gb flashed to 8gb looks cool and modify the coolers myself.

The 1060 probably doesn't have sli.

Custom 480's should launch the 22nd.

Personally not a fan of multigpu. Maybe wait a little bit for 1070 prices to come down. Could also get a 1080, won't be good value though, especially when the 1080Ti comes out.

it's early to tell; multi-gpu setups lately have performed very close to what a single card can do .. it's very rare to see a game totally not supporting it, at most, there might be some glitches in the early drivers.

It's not rare at all to see games not supporting it, at least at launch. Overwatch, fallout 4, the division, stellaris did not support crossfire at day 1. Overwatch got it a few weeks after, but its really buggy. The division and fallout 4 got it 6 months after release. Stellaris still doesn't work with CF.

It's extremely common to see games not supporting multi-gpu properly.

And this isn't even getting into half the games that "support" it but have never ending bugs. Witcher 3 supports Crossfire and scales well, but any time you stand still you can see textures flickering in the background when Crossfire is on. This is on a mature title. The division "supported" crossfire in that you could turn it on and get scaling, but it had nauseating disco flashing textures everywhere.

The only game I've purchased at launch that has had perfect crossfire was Star Wars Battlefront
