When burning a audio cd is Nero, What settings do you use?

Yup! me too....all defaults.

Except for speed, if I am in a rush to get to work in the morning, then I burn the CD's at about 52x.

But really you should burn them at the slowest setting for the best quality, if i have time and am hitting the shower, I start a burn at 4x and let it take the time it needs.
Also, TAO, DAO, I dont really care about those, let Nero decide.

I burn lots of audio cds with Nero, always at DAO (I burn a lot of live CDs).

As far as I'm concerned, burning audio CDs at slow speeds, or using black media, are both urban myths. I've done extensive testing on slow speed vs. high speed burning, and I always burn at my burner's maximum speed now. Using quality blanks (TY is my preference) is very important. Using cheapo stuff will give you random clicks and pops.

Not true. I have an old Liteon 12x burner and when I burn an audio cd at 12x they usually have difficulty being read by my cd players and some won't read at all. when I burn at 8x tho I have no problems. maybe it's just my burner but it seems the faster you burn a cd the easier it is to have defects.

I always set the track pause to 0 seconds, so the CD flows better. Select all the songs except the first one, right click, properties, set the track pause to 0 seconds.

i use Roxio 6 now cause it came with my DVD/CD burner, and i leave it on default also

Thump (or whoever knows).........what does "TY" represent? I also may as well ask what the most consistent brand of blank cd's are. I've had the best luck with store brands, but they wouldn't play on certain stereos. PFFT!!!

TY = Taiyou Yuden

TY is a manufacturer of CD-R/DVD-R, and the general consensus is they produce the best blank media in terms of compatibility and life. TY's are only made in Japan, so the easiest way to see what media you are getting is by checking the package.

It's getting really hard to find TY media anymore. Companies like Fuji and HP no longer use TY media, and have switched to media produced in Taiwan.
