BAH! I think if you change these Forums you change the feel of Anandtech. It just wouldn't be the same otherwise.

I just had a look at it and I don't like it half as much as these Forums, it's looks absolutely crappy. Less soul to the place, it looks too generic. Honestly, if the Forums are changed to that i'll be genuinely dissappointed.

At the risk of repeating myself, Anandtech as it stands has a pretty unique and homely feel to it, the new design doesn't. That's all I have to say about it.


EDIT - The avatars are also terrible and in short supply, where is my BULLDOG!!!! Went through the joining procedure though to make sure I have my username...

WHY DONT THE MODS MAKE A STICKY POLL ON WHO WANTS IT AND WHO DOESNT? THAT WAY WE CAN HAVE A MASS VOTE ON WHO LIKES THE IDEA AND WHO THINKS IT SHOULD BE CONSIGNED TO THE SCRAPHEAP... JUST AN IDEA...

So I suppose you meant, when are we going to upgrade?

I would be curious to see the upgrade. It would be excellent if the new upgrade brought back the lovely PM system. This one's trashy, but I can survive. It would also be a pleasure to have the old search system, since people can no longer subscribe.

No, Zuni will transfer the complete member and message database over to the new forums.

The new forums "supposedly" will have more features (original thread about Beta Forums).

But imma have to agree with everyone, I'm partial to the currently used version of Fusetalk. Hopefully they can tweak this new Enterprise edition for the same 'ole look and feel.

LOL Fusetalk is light years ahead of Invision Board.

InvisionBoard is a great free forum but not if you have a subscriber base of 120,000+ users.
