They are widely available, but Blockbuster is a very late adopter when it comes to new formats. Them carrying DVDs IIRC took a very long time.

You can get them via Blockbuster Online or Netflix already.

Stores are slowly rolling them out.

Netflix stocks every US HD-DVD and blu-ray release except porn, no extra charge to rent the discs. Bb online also stocks at least some discs.
