So its been good 8 months This Obama gave us promises that he didn't keep.

I like Obama. But Bill Clinton was the best President of all time IMO.

Clinton days gas was 1.50 or 2.20 a gallon Now its almost 4 dollars still.

The economy is still bad, people have no jobs no money. Another fool in politics, Bush drove us to the ground and we ain't comin up anytime soon.. sighs..

If you are going to troll, at least come up with something that doesn't sound like a mouth-breathing high school freshman.

NAFTA/GATT your boy signed did us no favors. We replaced production/industrial jobs with debt and non tradable service jobs. Well Debt is maxed bro, banks say no more loans to you overpriced, overbenefited, over indebted fools. And Jose can mow my grass just as good as John for half.

What do you expect him to do about gas prices? There is no law or executive authority that gives the President the power to set gas prices.

You're right that the Bushwhackos drove the economy into the ground. There's plenty of evidence that a lot of what the Obama has done has started to turn things around, but getting an entire economy and social structure back to the point where it's visible in the lives of average Americans could never happen overnight.

The same applies to those who whine that Obama hasn't thrown some magical switch to order an instantaneous end to the Bush's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bush started both of those wars. He screwed the pooch in excuting the war that should have been won long before he left office, and, as of 7/23/2010 he has murdered 4,413 American troops and left tens of thousands more wounded, scarred and disabled for life. :(

And that's before you get to the trillions of dollars he squandered in the war in Iraq and the trillions more he cost us with by abandoning all control and oversight of his wealthy Wall Street robber baron contributors.

I don't agree with everything Obama has done or every position they've taken, but I give them credit for turning things back in the right direction. He's doing a lot more than the tards who would dismantle the good, effective things he has accomplished.

His sig says California, they have been well over $3 forever just as here in Chicago.

Last month a few stations dropped below $3 for first time in over a year but now they are climbing back towards $3.50+

I paid $3.02 for 87 octane, today. I might have found better if I were headed in the direction of the cheapest stations I know.

Federal taxes on gas, federal taxes on production, federal regulations on production etc make gas way higher than it needs to be.

Obama is BlackBush as I and others enumerated many times. Granted he didn't even bother with congress for his two wars (Yemen & Pakistan) but principle of preemption still applies.

Well here in jerzee its like $2.60. But we have one of the lowest gas state tax in the country. But we take it up the rear end with no lubrication every place else.

*groan*. With the endurance you have for being wrong all the time if you just reapplied it to a better endeavor you'd be an extremely successful individual.

I actually dont want the president directly messing with any prices. That usually causes more problems.

Federal taxes on gas, federal taxes on production, federal regulations on production etc make gas way higher than it needs to be.

Congress passes tax legislation, and can you really sit there with a straight face and say we need LESS regulation on production...

< cough >... BP...

< cough >... Gulf oil disaster

< cough > Texas City Refinery explosion

< cough >... Massey Energy

< cough >... West Virginia mine explosion...

We need less regulation of energy production like a fish needs a pogo stick.

I don't think Obama accepts the Bushwhackos' unconscionable doctrine of preemption. Got a credible link on that?

Actually in CA is a STATE TAX thing. Your barking up the wrong tree as usually. Tell Arnold about it. The gas tax is the only thing keeping CA afloat.

Regulation is to hurt small mom and pop producers like me. BP gets a free pass with lobby money. No required environmental study, no required impact study, NO tested BOP. Just drill.

Link on Obama's: hey this aint such a bad idea after all.

Seriously you do not realise how good gas prices are here in the US. Most of the rest of the industrialized world pays much more for gas. If it didnt hit the poor so hard I would actually recommend higher gas prices. Do you rednecks really need to drive that V8 truck outside of work? Does the trophy wife next door really need to drive a hummer to pilades? When we lived in Italy we made due with two cars that had 3 cylinders...

btw that was the most coherent post Tweakboy has ever written !!! Great job TB!!! Your english is getting much better!
