Thanks for the encouragement. It's actually sort of fun once you get on a roll and start seeing results and I never really get that hungry.

Yep. This is what I try to tell people, and they never believe me. If you eat healthy and exercise, you can lose fat and never feel hungry. They never seem to believe me.

For me, I eat 5 times a day, and sometimes it feels like I have to force feed myself to get all the meals in. 🙂

Yep, good stuff so far and keep up the great work 🙂

As far as carbs go: the main reason that people see results when eliminating them is because the vast majority of people over eat most largely in either the fat and/or carbs departments. Carbs are a GREAT source of energy, but because of that, they are also a GREAT source of calories (again, i.e. energy). Ever look how many calories are in like a cup or so of pasta? Try something around 400. Don't use it all and it quickly gets turned into fat. I'd blame sugar as the largest culprit, as most people don't eat enough complex grains and fibers (and with fiber, you can actually subtract the amount of fiber you eat from your total caloric intake because of its...regularity properities).

So in the end, just do whatever works for you. If you're able to easily give up carbs, then go for it. If it's a bit more difficult to do that, then just watch what you're eating (avoid too many sugars) and how much you're eating. Portion size is more than just about anything else in this respect. A huge bowl of fat-free frozen yogurt can be just as bad as a cup of ice cream.

Fortunately, I like a variety of foods so giving up the carbs hasn't been too hard for me.

I've been snacking more recently and my porion size has increased a bit so I've been stuck at the same weight for about a week now.

Not as dramatic as John, but I'm making progress! Elapsed time is a little over 6 weeks.

Lookin' good. Now all you need is the tan. 😉

Not quite, but thanks anyway.😀

No, you need the tan trust me 😉 and wow nice job...you looking good man 😛 😀

I live in Rochester, NY - not exactly sun city. We're bound to get a few days of summer though before the snow starts falling again. If I time it right, I might be able to catch a few rays!
