When a person is lying, do they look to the left or the right?

I remember from psyc. class that people will look one way when they are recalling from memory and look another when using creativity. I've got them mixed up.

Anyone know?

Looking up is attempting to recall information. Looking down or looking to the left, from your perspective, they are lying.

On a side note, in typical conversation (like business) how often do you look into the person's eyes and how often do you look elsewhere? Just curious...

If I ask you a question about something
visual, like your favorite color...

...your eyes go up and to the left.

Neurophysiology tells us your eyes
go in that direction...

...because you're accessing
the visual cortex.

So you're telling the truth.

If your eyes go up and right...

...you're accessing the brain's creative
centers and we know you're full of sh!t

Yea.. that sucks. I always seem to look down when I'm trying to recall something. I hope no one takes this theory seriously.. every person I talked to in meetings must've thought I was BSing.
