It's a cube farm flanked by offices along the walls.

It's pretty tame though and could use a bit more fun and flavor IMO.

Overall a good place to be though, when compared to other places I've worked.

don't they make some really good ground hunting equipment nowadays? we have no problems finding grounds on site.

A bunch of foul mouth guys hurling obscenities at eachother that are far beyond inappropriate for a typical professional working environment. I rather enjoy it, as opposed to an environment with a bunch of working stiffs. I usually dont even notice anymore, though someone did yell the word c*nt all the way across the office the other day, which turned a few heads. This is a development group in a multi-billion dollar company.

I work outside for the most part.
If it is 110 degrees outside, I get hot.
If it's raining, I get wet.
If it's snowing, I get cold and wet.

We've got a GE generator expert crew here and so far neither they nor us can find it. Hipot/megger/tdr/dlro tests have all been done. Hell, we've had the generator rotor out for inspection in THEIR shop and they couldn't find a fault. So, we're pulling it again. They only thing that could make this any better is if it was hot outside, it's only 100 degrees today. ;)

Too bad the fault wasn't in the PEECC where it's air conditioned.

shorts and sandals dress environment. we are pretty lax and play pretty hard but work even harder when need be. Most of us are around 25-30 and get along really well. the CEO actually scheduled an upcoming party at his house after lunch and is supplying the beer. I was pretty surprised, but occasionally we have adult beverage time :)
