whats your windows 7 index score with screen grab?

Windows Index Score is a pointless tool to help the average joe see what their computer ranks up vs W7. For the "above avg" user, it should mean nothing.

I use other tools.. This was something I fugured everyone would have on the PC, and not have to install something. It is just for fun. Don't post your score if you don't want to.

i5 750, 4GB DDR 1333 @ 8-8-8-24 (or something), Radeon 5850 1GB, 500GB Seagate 7200.12 system drive. Currently all stock because of CPU cooler/case issues.

Wouldnt 4 raptors match/beat almost every SSD on the market across the board except for latency?

Oh no, not even close for random read and writes. Maybe for sequential, but not even close with random. And OS performance is almost entirely random reads and writes.

I think think mine is the same as yours or very close. Will have to wait till I get home to check. What ssd are you using here?

Nope mine is significantly lower. I knew it was 7.something but didn't remember. When I last tested it, it was 7.4. Just reran the test and it's 7.3 now. I'm using an Intel 80GB x25-m ssd, one of the slower SSDs by now.

I'm surprised my graphics score is only 7.6 as I'm running an ATI 5970 in this system!

See you get a 7.7 on 3D with a 5850 and I get 7.6 with a 5970? :hmm: Yeah I know this is a crappy CRAPPY measure of "3D" performance but still.

i don't play games, so i never cared about the video gfx score 😛 (i have a 8600 gs passive cooled btw)

I'm 100% sure for tests in the windows thingy it doesn't take SLI/Xfire into account. Who cares. You murder him in any game.

I'm on a mac, which means that even my lowest score is higher than yours because macs are better than PCs in every way imaginable. Everyone knows this.
Macs ARE PCs, and ridiculously overpriced ones, at that. Everyone knows this. 😛

@topic: 5.9.

i'm not even going to post a score filezz because i've seen your computer in action and i know mine does not measure up! three screens!

Err with things like superfetch doesnt that almost negate random reads and writes entirely after a few mins after startup?

The whole reason i went RAID-0 in the 1st place was for sequential writes though (encoding)

My SSD is marked as 5.9 on it. Then again... I think it has to do with me not changing my BIOS setting to ACHI. My Seagate hasn't been hooked back up yet.
