22. One of the places it uses to justify that score has been closed for close to a year, one other is actually a residence that is listed as the mailing address for a restaurant at some other location in the city, and the supposed "grocery" location it lists is an industrial supply company. So real score is about a 10-12

Hmm...interesting idea, but I don't feel all that great about linking my IP and street addresses in some stranger's database.

94/100

I wonder if it might be more because it doesn't seem to pick up on the fact that I'm ~1 mile away from stadium/concert venue

I could conceivably give up my car if I wanted to (and indeed, some weeks I only drive it to move it for street cleaning) but hitting up local stores over my big box grocery store would get expensive, I wouldn't see my family as often, and my friends would all get annoyed at me constantly bumming rides when we go out.

80, though they do not take into account the lack of good sidewalks or the crazy traffic and 5 lanes you have to cross.

66. :| When I lived in Boulder, I had an 88. 🙂

Data mining a-go-go! Enjoy your junk mail!

I have a PO Box. I don't get stuff mailed to my street address. (Which sucks for mail-in rebates; but there are times like this where it helps.)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally think that while a 100 is "convenient", a 0 is living in a MUCH more peaceful, relaxing environment. Having lived in both a 90+ and a 0, I find the 0 has a much higher quality of living.

i think I tend to agree with you...i hate nyc 99% of the time, but it is convenient to have a grocery store across the street

Even a 0 doesn't mean you're car dependent if you do it right. You can grow your own vegetables, raise livestock, hunt, fish, homeschool your children, and steal everything else you need (like guns and beer) from your neighbors. Nobody locks up anything in the country.
