ok at the first 2, bad at the 3rd (but i love it anyway 😀), but how many people process, make, and characterize max phase and anti perovskite phase ceramics?😉

edit: also diehard motorcycle fan (i WILL own one, one day!) and driving enthusiast 🙂)

My 'thing' is pretty much a jack of all trades - pretty good and enjoy most things, master at none. Then again I think of most of my friends the same way. We have our specialties, but I don't feel like there is one 'thing' i can define myself as.

I like to go fast, but w/out the use of fuel like gasoline.
I like snowboarding, skimboarding, skating, downhill bikeriding, anything that you can put a little effort into and go fast and not get hurt too bad.

Sweet. I'm running about 50 miles a week right now but starting in January I'm going to start training for my first marathon and will probably be around 70-80 a week. I'm kind of injury prone so I can't run really high mileage but I love long distance runs. I get an endorphin high around 11 miles and can go forever after that.

Haha, kind of. 🙂 I have one more semester of college left so I graduate in December. I ran XC and track in high school and community college but was never really good until I came to this college. You're still in HS then, I assume? Do you run XC?

ya im doing XC. i also do track, but i always hated running long distances with a passion until this year when i broke my neck and could not wrestle anymore, and whats worse is that i was named captain of my schools wrestling team. after that i just absolutely loved to run long distance, and hopefully this year ill break my goal of 2:02 in the 800m. btw what are your times for whatever you run?

Damn, 2:02. You got some speed. You'll go under 2 if you run in college. As for me, I'm just a slow distance runner, but I just PRed in the 5K with 16:59, and I ran a half-marathon in May in under 1:23:00. I'm shooting for 2:45 in the marathon eventually.

Cooking.

IT is my career, but cooking is my passion. It doesn't matter if it's on the stove, grill, smoker, or in the oven, I'll attempt it and usually do a very good job. I have a friend who's tossing around a few restaurant ideas and if they come to be I'll have a decent shot at being the chef. I'm thinking of taking courses towards being a certified chef, but right now the stability of IT management is comforting.
