What's your take on Seattle University?

I am thinking of transfering to SU in the winter, but the obvious problem is that I've never been to the campus, so I really can't grasp how and what the campus feels like. I also want to know how people who live in Seattle think of the school. When they hear SU...what are their reaction? Do they despise it? Or they think it's a respectable school? Mmm...let me know.

A good friend of mine goes there, he's in his second year on campus. I visit every month or so. The campus is absolutely beautiful, many new buildings, plus it's right smack dab in the middle of Seattle. Being right near broadway does make for some interesting culture/counter-culture interaction.

In terms of academics, I can't really comment with any authority. For a regional university it is well-respected, their law school is second tier.

Good luck with your decision.

Please don't, the added gravity that your head would produce would affect the tides in this region and interfere with my fishing schedule.

Who cares what people think about the school. Just go.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather go to a respectable school.

I'd rather go to a school that I can afford.

IMO, the majority of the "respectable" schools have their head shoved too far up their asses, just like their students.

Thanks a lot. This is the exact information I am looking for. I was just hoping more people in Seattle could comment.

Then I would still go to the most respectable school that I could afford. Why go to a 'crappy' school if it costs the same to go to a more respected school?

IMO, there are no "crappy" schools, just schools that are more convenient for some people.

IMO, if money and opportunity is equal, you might as well go to the school with the better reputation. I'd rather go to a school that was more respected than a school that wasn't if all other criteria were equal.
