5 months on my fileserver, ~40 days on my HTPC (BeyondTV 4.5 is rock solid!).
Main/work rigs - couple of days :p

At most, a few days. I always turn my machine off at the end of the day or if I'm going to be away from it for a few hours. Saving electricity FTW.

I've had a few months on my laptop until the power went out and I didn't notice, therefore killing the battery inside. Now that I don't keep the battery in the laptop at all, if I cut power to the laptop for an instant it cuts out so its uptime is only a few months now..

No but you're a big enough troll to post in this thread anyways.

He was check to make sure you weren't posting 5 1/2 year old articles again like a retard.

The sad thing about the list in my signature is that it has an age requirement which you haven't met yet!

Same as me, I love BeyondTV and I don't know what I did before without it.

those who have months of uptime, are you just not patching your systems? Surely there have been patches released that require a reboot in the past couple months? I wouldn't know since I regularly shut my XP laptop off and I don't use it all that often.

Yes because retards tend to discuss older information while those who are smart tend to talk about new information, because you know, reflecting on older information is of course stupid, I mean why take a history class when thats all in the past?

I keep them on for a few days max if I'm downloading something but usually I just turn them off before going to bed. Gotta save power and no point in shutting down, especially since boot times are so speedy.

Most XP monthly updates have required rebooting. I had one 3-month session where I was too lazy to patch and reboot, so that's probably my record with XP. I've also had (my own) SBS 2003 Server go 3 months without reboot. I'd NEVER do that with a client's Server. The ONLY reason any of my SBS Servers get rebooted is for patches.

File server at my Carrollton home, still on XP Pro (no SP1 or SP2!), been up since March '03, with a UPS.

lol.

With any MS OS, I don't see ANY reason to have a machine up for an extended amount of time. All that means is that you aren't downloading critical updates, because some of them require a reboot. I routinely install updates on my XP box and my clients' servers.

About 90 days or so back when I would leave my PC up 24/7. I shut'er down every night these days.

Before I reworked my desktop this past January I was running on an XP install from March of 2003.

I have yet to encounter any problems with Windows XP, I guess I'm not stupid enough.
