What's your record for staying awake?

I've stayed awake 32 hours before. It was the last day of school, and my friend and I were competeting. She fell asleep rather quickly while I chugged down the caffeine to run through half of the next day. I tried driving home from a party too - might I suggest you not do that 🙂

No no, I am so a college student. I'll be starting my second year in the next week. There have been plenty of times when I've stayed awake a day or so, but nothing past that - I tend to nod off very quickly.

i did 2 days like nothing when i was in Jr high man... but the most is probably a week i had 3 midterms... i think i stayed awake 3 full days...
32 hours is not even worth posting... 🙂
my roommates claims 4 full days but thats just nasty...

I've missed sleep for a night a couple times before.. so I figure 6:30am Wednesday till about 1:00am Friday... so 41.5 hours...

It really sucks too.. I think my body requires at least 9 hours of sleep to function without obvious defects - like remembering a name 2 seconds after I'm told it.

No sleep at all? about 52 hours.

Sleep deprivation? I've gone months on end on 4 hours per night. That sucks. Brain hurts.

i heard that u are legally insane after 72 hours.
i think my psyc book talks about the stages, like after a certain amount f hours you begin to hallucinate, or start losing ur balance

Just over two full days once. When it got to the point where I could drink a 20oz jolt and still not be able to keep my eyes open i knew it was time to get some sleep. That second day is fun though cause your so loopy.

i once stayed awake for just over 108 hours. for no reason at all.

i had stayed up all night writing a paper my junior(92-93) year of h.s. and during the next day i wondered if i could stay awake for a whole week without the help of any drugs(not even caffine). i had pulled a couple of double all nighters prior, but never anything much over 50 hours. let me tell you, things got wierd. the last day i was up i had a hard time feeling thinhgs when i touched them. i would gte the sensation of touch just b4 i put my hand on something, but it would go away when i actualy touched it. walking down stairs was the hardest thing i had to do. so very hard not to fall. a good bit of hallucinating.

on the 4th night i was playing my bass trying to keep my mind active(my mind was doing pretty well, but my body was fighting hard for sleep) i passed out just after letterman. i woke up about 2 hours later, and the wierdest thing of all, could not go back to sleep! i finaly got a TON of sleep that next afternoon.

sleep deprivation is fun! i suggest it to everyone!

About 52 hours....After I got out of boot camp (USN) I reported to Sub School in Groton, CT. and partied my ass off. I paid for it on Monday morning though....I can still hear it, "Jenkins!! If you don't pick that damn head up off that desk, I'll make sure it stays down there permantly!!" WHOA..FLASHBACK...

4 1/2 days- during the ground ops in Desert Storm.

Kinda funny- we landed at a field hospital, and it was clear that we were done for awhile- both pilots went to sleep as soon as we were on the ground (I hope that's when they zonked out). A nurse finally led us to the only beds available- the OB/GYN department! Pilots got the 2 beds, I wound up having to sleep with my feet in the sturrups of the exam table.............

i need a LOT of sleep. i've never gone more than 24 hours. at this point i become very dizzy, my eyes roll back, and i start to get a sore throat.
