Tylenol, as ibu and the like give me heartburn.

Tylenol 1 if it's something more painful... which is OTC here, but you have to go through a royal inquisition before they sell them to you. Also handy for bad coughs.

I find the Advil gel caps give me heartburn, so I usually chase it with a shot of Pepto.

Tylenol is the best pain reliever.....but Aspirin, Advil, and Naproxen Sodium are all NSAIDs, so they handle inflamation. Depending on the issue you're having, you're going to get mixed results.

Sore throats, headaches, and fevers are best broken with Tylenol. Back pain, muscle aches, inflamed gums, anything like that would be better treated with NSAIDs as long as you don't mix them or have tendencies to get ulcers or stomach bleeds.

i was taking ibuprophen for my neck after I hurt it. After a while I was taking 12-16 a day and started using cannabis instead. That was much nicer and didn't upset my stomache.

Depends on the pain.

For headaches, Excedrin or its generic equivalent is the only thing that works for me.

For other "aches and pains," ibuprofen or naproxen work well for me.

Actually, mixing Tylenol and ibuprofen is a recommended treatment for migraines. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

IB for joints
Tylenol for headaches

I used to love naproxen but then I ate it straight off a machine uncoated. Now my body rejects it hard.

is it true that aspirin and it's derivatives damage hearing?? First indication may be a ringing in the ears after you take the pills.

As for headache and migranes...Never had them. I don't fully understand what people mean when they say they have a "headache". Yes, I've read the descriptions in the textbooks, but I've never experienced this myself.

Wait what? okay I'll bite.... You have never had a headache? Seriously?

Tylenol for headaches. For muscle aches I just suck it up and do a light workout. Get the blood moving and help the body recover naturally.

Hmmm, So expanding on the natural recovery idea so you don't have to take the Tylenol, could you just do calculus or differential equations as a light workout for your brain to get the blood moving?

😕 😵

otc pain relievers are crap. just try to stimulate endogenous endorphin release through laughing, smiling, eating chocolate, eating spicy food - basically just smoke weed

I find it hard to believe that a person over the age of, say, 8, has never experienced a headache... :hmm:

I've had them, but it's exceedingly rare. I could count the headaches I've had on two hands, and most, if not all were due to caffeine withdrawal.
