What's your phone's speed like on your home wifi?

I'm only getting around 600k down and 500k up.

Its faster on 3G where download goes up to around 1M.

Am I alone on this?

I'm getting 2061.7Kb/s down and 376.9Kb/s up averages on my Nexus One.

I got 4479k down and 1942k up on my Nexus One on Wifi using the Speedtest.net app.

I tested during a non peak time and got 10451k down and 1952k up. It seems like my N1 is consistently downloading about 1/2 as fast as my desktop does while the upload is the same.(My desktop got ~10k down and 2k up when I did the first test on friday night, and just now it got 20k down and 2k up)

i always found my g1 to be way slower. my nexus one gets around 15 megabits on a network file transfer (g wireless)

have you tried setcpu to 528mhz max?
also, which app are you using? xtremelabs sucks, use the speedtest.net app

I havent run a speed test, but my Droid is much faster on the Wifi than 3G.
Overall I think 3G is a joke. They claimed it was supposed to be like broadband, but I've never had a 3G phone where it actually felt like that.
Maybe 4G will be better. But for now Wifi is great. So many places around the neighborhood have it for free I dont even worry about good cellular coverage.

ok... I just got 6/1 on my Milestone... but I have 12/2 comcast i thought.

1) I'm pretty far from the router.

Well this wasn't a browser-based test, but that aside I expected it to be slower - it was the ratio.
