a BBS is no internet...
from that point of view i would have to count the days (mid 80s) when i built my "trust" acoustic-modem and connected to some local BBS.
But the first contact with the REAL internet was when i got a phonen umber from a friend which connected me to the local uni (terminal server)..and by entering an IP i was connected to a MUD (multi user dungeon). That was my fist contact with the internet. Before that were years of extreme intensive BBS-ing..which i dont count
