I drive an old, small 4 banger so I get along pretty good. MPG is the most important thing in a car to me (I am poor)

Somewhere between 17 and 25 depending on how much city vs. highway driving I do... Not great but not bad either.

Modified '92 Mustang GT - Average = ~18mpg, 24ish all highway.

It was as low as 8mpg before I replaced my O2 sensors...

Not bad on my car (04 Mustang GT) - 19 mpg.

The wife's Expedition is another story. She can't seem to get more than about 11mpg and at 20K miles, the brakes are about done, so it's going in the shop in a couple days.

They were pretty cheap for new Bosch units on the stang...only about $39ea. Generally, they don't work very well after 60K miles..

Before I changed them, I was getting about 70miles from full to 1/2 tank, with a 15 gallon tank. After changing them I got to about 130 miles before I hit 1/2 tank..

I'd imagine on a larger vehicle like that, weight and aerodynamics work against you...

OT...How the hell have you been Steve?

Just got back from the first road trip with the '05 Pilot. Really bad holiday traffic on I-90, stop and go at times, 22. Coming back with better traffic, 23. We are getting an even 20 to and from work.
The '98 camry gets about 27~28 no matter what, it seems.

1996 Integra. Driving around San Francisco I get about 20mpg (bleh), but on the freeways I can get 35-40 mpg (way more than advertised).

I get between 15 and 20mpg in town and 25 to 30mpg on the interstate.

20 is rare, but driving as light-footed as I can, it can be done. 15 is less rare. It only gets that low in almost pure stop and go stuff, which I rarely see.

On the last major interstate drive, (South Carolina to New York to Missouri to Kansas back to New York), we averaged about 28mpg overall. That was with me, my wife, and our 6 month old daughter plus all of our gear. That was keeping the cruise control (mostly) locked at 70mph.

Vehicle: 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, 3.5L V6, 5 speed auto.
