Hiking equipment.

But now that I think about it I haven't bought anything for a while so...

That used to be mine... getting all my backpacking gear was expensive.
Now its skiing.

Home theater

damn these bose speakers sure are expensive! 😉

hah j/k i've spent about $3500 on all my equipment in the past half year. I think i'm just about done though

It used to be my aquaria. Now my computers have me broke, but for some reason I'm still feeling the need to start getting more involved in two other hobbies that were sidelined when my computer obsession took over: film photography and guitar. :Q

Music CDs -- I've spent at least $13K over the last decade (1,200+ CDs) am still buying CDs, and am now spending another $1K on drives to copy it all as lossless FLAC (with backup drives).

It will be pretty sweet having a 1,200+ CD changer / server with music anywhere in the house (wifi) and being able to clone it as needed. Imagine taking a little Shuttle cube to work with the full collection 😀

Right now it's building my house. Set the stair stringers last saturday 🙂
Generally it's woodworking, but about another $2K and I should be largely set in terms of equipment. Hardwood is expensive here though, so any big project is pricey.

In the past it's been skiing & cycling.

car....
ACT 2600 clutch ... $500
Kumho 225s's ... $350
FMIC/bigger turbo/better bloww off valve ... $450
not to mention insurace ...$100/month
or gas at ~2/gallon

but it makes me happy 😀

My expensive hobby is boating.

Working on repowering it with a new 383. I just hope
next season doesn't come with working on a new outdrive.

I collect historical musical instruments. Replicas are not cheap, but are easier to come by. 5k-10k per instrument really can set one back. Needless to say, my collection is still in it's infancy.

I would like to say computer parts, but in all reality the award of keeping our bank account at it's lowest possible digit is...........

My Wife! :Q

I'd love to say cars because that would actually imply I know SOMETHING about them (but I regretfully don't)... so it'd probably be hockey (expensive leagues and expensive equipment).
