So if I'm in California, I can shoot a whale from my truck while driving? Cool!!! :)

Where was my high powered scope again? :D

<< Most annoying?
That's easy, not being allowed to ride a bike with no hands.
I got pulled over (on my bike) by a cop wih lights and a siren. Damn that was weird. I had no idea it was a law either. Managed to weasel my way out of $150 fine though. :)

Any cop that gives you a ticket for that is LAME!

<< I know this'll turn into flame haven, but:

I have 23 years of martial arts training. 2 years in the military. 10 years security/bodyguard/law enforcement experience. I can carry a gun concealed in over a dozen states. I'm licensed in many states for security, possession of firearms, heck, even fugitive retrieval in one. And yet...

I'm not allowed to carry a melee or throwing weapon. No sword, no combat knife, no throwing knives, no sai, no jitte, no tonfa, no chucks, no staff...WTF???

I can't fire a gun to wound, it doesn't work like that. Only thing I can do with it is kill. Gimmie a melee or throwing weapon and theres a good chance I can disable an attacker without killing them. Heck, if I could walk around with a staff I'd feel perfectly comfortable confronting a small group of people armed with knives, chains, boards, etc. Everyone screams till they're blue about the lethalness of guns, but then they won't let me carry something effective and nonlethal.

I have some real issues with gun laws too, but if I could carry melee/throwing I'd turn in my sidearm for anything other than work purposes. Happily.

I think the problem is that you don't have Charlton Heston and his NRA endorsing the use of anything but guns. You all know by know that if a large and vocal enough group complains about something then it will be legalized or at least not looked down upon.

I think this is a law by the way and it is the one that annoys me the most.

Yea, and the people who passed that law are the ones YOU elected...

And we all pay their salary...

And that is just sad...

I've got to go cry now...

You know what else is stupid? I cannot walk down the street with a K-Bar knife strapped to my leg, but I can walk down the street carrying an assualt rifle totally legally...

Some laws are just stupid...

A guy with a K-Bar on his hip wouldn't bother me in the least... A guy with an assualt rifle just walking down the street would at least get my full attention...

I did not elect them. I was not old enough to vote when that law was passed, nor was I living in the area.
