World of Warcraft, when I picked up the Burning Crusade expansion at a midnight release.

Started playing around 12:30 or 1AM, and with the help of coffee, pop, and cigarettes, played it until about 9PM the next night... then woke up at about 4AM and did it all over again. Hit 70 in less then 3 days.

And no, I'm not proud of that, but I was one of the first 70 Priests on the server, and had nearly non-stop opportunites to run anything I wanted by levelling fast.

The Rathe Council encounter to gain access to the Plane of Time in the original EQ.

This isn't my guild but that's the encounter alright. I was a bard and was chain mezzing mobs and playing mana song for I think 5 hours or something ridiculous.

I think my entire playtime that day ended up being around 8-10 hours. Ridiculous.

Not at all a WoW fan. But a gaming fan. BE PROUD! :awe: Just so long as you don't cosplay in public. :hmm:

I know this is PC gaming, but my first long sessions were back when I rented NES games, tried to beat Dragon Warrior III or IV on a weekend, could never quite finish either. But those were probably around 8-12 hours before my mom would yell at me.

Then in college, I think I logged in around the same time for Everquest or even a text based MUD game I played around 12 to 15ish hours.

36 hours. Dark Age of Camelot. Slept for about a 18 hours after that one. That was back in 2001 I think. Never do that again. Too old now to be doing silly things like that.

Civ 1, 32 hours. Decided to quit when even though it was a bright sunny day and the sun was shining into the room, everything went Black except the monitor.

Street Fighter 2 in the arcade, without question. Could play for hours on one quarter, playing against random people in the arcade. We would go right when the arcade opened, then would just play all freaking day, taking very brief breaks for snacks. Ahhh, the good old days. :)

If for whatever reason you are ever over and I show you my MAME cab (now running) remind me not to play SF with you D: :D

Flip side of the coin though I'll gladly play 1941. Think I still have something of a world record in that.

When I get Skyrim soon I can easily see putting in a long session coming up. Assuming it's good of course :crossed fingers:

Heh, sweet. I'm only average at 1941, though it a lot of fun. Is it 1941 or 1942 where you just get "Congratulation!" when you beat it? So disappointing considering how long it took me to beat the damn game. Congratulation. :colbert:

I was just reading about those MAME cabinets; looks like a cool idea. Did you post pics somewhere?

Not sure I don't remember the ending. Could be. If you remember the art style it's this one:

http://www.google.ca/search?q=1941+...biw=1331&bih=1443&sei= hly4TqbUAuKXiAKO06X6BA

The earlier games in the series had a much simpler art style:

Nice! I can't believe you were playing The Simpsons game in the demonstration video. :D

A buddy of mine restores pinball machines and old cabinets; came very close to buying an original SF2 from him, but thought better of it at the last minute. My place is too small to properly hide it from the ladies. ^_^

If/when I have a bigger place I am so doing something like this.

Yeah it's great fun to get it up and working, even if you don't play it much. And it's a great conversation piece I'd imagine.

Yeah lol I asked for requests for games to play and someone said The Simpsons.

Not sure I want to admit this, but I've been snowed in with the few ice storms we get here in Texas and I went a few days playing Master of Magic and Master of Orion 2, with breaks only for the rest room and to make junk food, like biscuits.
