Cant get a job.
Am overqualified for menial tasks like waiting tables and flipping burgers. I know this because after my 10th interview somebody finally told me why I'd never get hired.

The other side to this is I am under qualified for all the good jobs. Micron said they liked me but I wasnt exactly what they wanted, and in this economy they could afford to be picky. Way too many people with my skills are out of work. And they will stay like that until they get some new skills. Most of our jobs have been sent to India and South Korea.

As a psychiatrist, I was a professional twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first "analrapist".

then you need to reevaluate how you market yourself.

When you applied to be a burger flipper, did you tell them your schooling? If so, there is your problem.

Software developer. (I could join the crowd and call myself a software engineer, but to hell with engineers!)

I'm 31 years old. And I look older. If I told them I'd just got out of high school they wouldnt believe me.
And if I said I'd been fucking off for the past 12 years I dont think that would do many any good either.

2nd geek in charge of mostly equipment interfaces

I gave myself the title "Technical Operations"

Social worker

My father wanted tuo be a social worker, wanted to help people. instead he ended up being a welfare worker for a number of years. He is currently a Chinese language professor at a local college here. How do you find the job? Do you find you actually help people or have you just gotten bitter about that over the years? 😛
