What's your impression of 3-series drivers?

I drive a 3 series, and honestly go out of my way to be polite as a driver, always yielding and letting people in when possible. That being said, I do make up for it by hurling the car around corners and driving fast all too often. The 3 series cars equipped with the sport package are great fun to drive.

3 series has become a pig, saw a e92 and a e90 m3 at the track this weekend - neither was particularly fast. and all the 335's went into limp mode, but i guess thats to be expected it was 100F+ in the afternoon at Buttonwillow

That's weird. They're supposed to be really fast, like a step below a Corvette.

Spoiled teenagers? Old asian women? Young professionals? You seriously bringing this up? So many people have these things here you cant generalize them at all, rather most who do are just upset they have to drive a mid 90s camry.

1 sec in a quarter mile is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG distance. More than just a step.

Yeah - one second when you're talking about econoboxes and 17-18 second runs? Not so much.

One second when you're talking about 11 - 12 second runs? That's a lot. At 115mph, you'll cover 168 feet in one second..over half a football field.

nice car, but underpowered for climbing mountain passes on the freeway, or so say my parents who had one.
I'll get off your lawn now. 😛

Gotta row them gears a bit, that's all. 😀 It was more of a handler, and definitely would get blown away by Detroit iron.

It's all a matter of perspective. In the case of the Vette/BMW, we're talking 13-14 sec runs. We're talking "step" here, not a mite, notch, smidgen or skosh. I think of steps as being pretty big in comparison. 😀

Because comparing a lux sport sedan to a supercar makes sense, lol

Vette is mid to low 12's and 335i is mid to low 13's. There's a huge power gap between cars at those speeds.

Well to be fair, I made the comparison initially, and I'd agree that 1 second when you're talking about 11 seconds vs. 12 seconds is pretty substantial.

I still think the M3 has pretty impressive performance though.
