Hey, I go to my brother's vacation house in Deer Valley every year to ski. :)

hehe... I've never been skiing and don't ever want to go. ;)

It's really a lot of fun. You really should give it a try one day :)

I would really like to live in Panama, where I used to live. It's a beautiful country :)

So you moved from Panama to Panama city? :)

This'll get a laugh since it's a fairly obscure place most people have never heard of - Fairhope, Alabama.

It's on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay across from the city of Mobile. You're about 15-20 minutes from the beach, but not on the beach itself with all the tourist junk that comes with that. You're still on the water though with Mobile Bay. You're 15 minutes from a fairly large city in Mobile (Pensacola's also only about 30 minutes away.) The heart of town itself is gorgeous with lots of trees, walking paths and old Southern style homes (kind of like Mayberry on a bay.) It's got all the charm of a small town with all the convience of your typical outlying suburb. The problem is that by the time I retire it won't be the same. A lot of people are already discovering it and it's quickly becoming overrun.

My runner up is Durango, Colorado.

Hah, I've been to Fairhope quite a few times! I'm from Biloxi, MS.

I really love Austin, but I would also love a nice loft somewhere in London, but its too bloody expensive.
A vacation house somewhere in Bavaria would also be sweet.

I'd pick LA. As cool as NYC was when I was there a few years ago, I think I'd be too scared to actually live there.

I live on the Central Coast of California. It's beautiful and we've got great weather just about year-round. I love living right where I am. :D

Anywhere but Atlanta! Man does this place suck. Can't wait to move back to Birmingham. I also like where my parents live. They moved from Birmingham to Mentone,Al(On Lookout Mountain in Northern Alabama) and that place is awesome. Way high up in the mountains. Very laid back and rural. The people are really nice. The area around there is kinda suspect though. A lot of people down in the Valley are pretty weird.

Hawaii (thankfully I'm already here).

If I couldn't be here, then somewhere in California or the SouthWest in general. Perferably near the beach :D

My ideal place is not inside a cardboard box.

Maybe an apartment, but eventually I would want to own a house.

Crab453 where do you live in South Jersey, I grew up there. Well I lived quite a few places and just moved from smoggy SoCal (LA/OC area) and agree San Diego is much nicer, but I am very happy with Vermont. I like parts of the south like NC and SC too(gives me flashbacks from the Marine Corps, lol) but its too hot.

:)

I want to live with you :D

edit - strictly for climate reasons though

Honestly I'd like to have a place in new england for the summer and fall and much of the spring with a winter hideaway in hawaii or the florida keys.

But if I have to pick a place as it is, I'll take North Carolina.

I'd pick North Carolina as well. It's absolutely beautiful out there, the big school campuses are amazing, and you'd be a fool to complain about the weather. My second choice would be Arizona.
