What's your greatest posting ever? Unfortunately, I don't remember mine. It was on here, it was in response to a thread, I made some lame pun and ended it with "Zing!" and there were about 3 pages of people e-clapping me on the back for it.

Probably the best one I remember was like years ago, at Hardwareforums, where I posted a picture of my computer, literally in flames. (I'd put some wood shavings in the bottom and left the side off, and took a picture right above the wood chips on fire so it looked like the whole thing had just combusted)

I was complaining that my attempt to mod a Pentium II to run Far Cry by splicing an extension cord into the socket to get a 110V overclock had failed, and asked if I needed more fans. Got a few laughs.

Come on, everyone's got a thread or a post they think was awesome. What was yours.
 
My best post was here, a little while back. Some douche made a lame pun and, even more lamely, added "Zing" to it. He was an obvious retard.

So, a bunch of his got together and posted obviously fake e-claps for him, such as, "For a mouth breathing moron, you sure have a way with words. Adding "Zing" at the end was SUCH an original touch! You must be the poet laureate of the short bus!"

The 'tard bought it, hook, line and sinker!

Of course, most of us felt somewhat bad about making fun of a 'tard, but that passed. I think the OP now has a job as a door stop somewhere. Well, not a real job, actually. It's not like he gets paid for it or anything.

I ended up not getting one. My wife found out about my plan and didn't think it was such a good idea for me to get one.

All the others are. Take Red Dawn, for instance. Why, just the other day he gave a complete stranger on the street a free facial reconstruction.

Myself? I was raised by temperamental wolverines in a hollow log. The fur was always flying. I was given this job solely because the other mods promised my parole officer they'd keep an eye on me, after the wolverines refused to take me back. Damn wolverines.

The thread where I learned the most was one I posted here early on in my anandtech days called "I think my boyfriend is going to breakup with me tonight"

we didn't break up that night but everything everyone said was absolutely right and advice from various forum members actually stayed with me when the breakup did come.

I was such a kid then.

The thread where I had the most fun was a time I posted a fake thread, then bragged on IRC about it where someone promptly posted the IRC log. This sparked a debate as to whether I really existed or not. lol.

Now nobody even knows me.
 
I once won a temp free subscription to Fark.com because the night they did the deep impact mission coverage, I commented in the forums right after it hit, "That one was for the dinosaurs, biatch!"
