I recently went on a road trip in my 95' Crown Victoria and got 25 mpg in city driving and roughly 28 mpg on the highway, averaging 27 mpg over 2200 miles which suprised the hell out of me.
 
i used to get about 28mpg on my '98 civic lx, 26mpg on my '03 civic lx, and surprisingly with my driving style i'm getting 26mpg on our '93 maxima gxe (a mix of city/highway driving, mostly city though).

*EDIT* oh yeah, on a roadtrip from NJ to Washington D.C. I got 42mpg in my '98 civic lx...that was an awesome car, wished i hadn't totalled it 🙁
 
I get about 35 in the neon I use for the long commute.

I am going to buy a Geo Storm that gets about 30 because it is cheap and it is an automatic 😀
 
16 mpg - 1990 Buick Century "Limited" V6 w/ chrome luggage rack on truck lid. Come to think of it that rack may be increasing the aerodynamic drag,

I get about 5-10mpg in the city and 10-12 hwy.
I've got a boost leak that I can't seem to get rid of and my car runs pig rich. Throw my pedal-to-the-medal driving style in the mixture and you get the mpg I do 😉

About 18-20 when the AC isn't used and 16-18 with air. A heavy foot will reduce this quickly.

Haven't made any trips with it yet.

What happened to "well maintained DSMs are fine"? Funny you would say that and not do it yourself🙂
 
25ish mpg

1989 Pontiac Sunbird, 4 cyl, auto

my previous car, a 1987 Pontiac Bonneville, 6 cyl, auto, avged 25-30mpg, surprisingly.
 
'97 Oldsmobile 88 Regency, 3800 Series II V6, 205hp.

26 - 28 mpg Highway 😀
22 day to day driving. I guess city but the roads here are straight like a laser beam and the speed is usually 35-40 mph without any major hickups.

Edit: These number are with AC. No AC in AZ = toast.
 
Normally I get somewhere around 26-27 in my 99 grand am. However lately with the winter and the crapyp winter gas, I'm getting about 22-23.

It's not my fault I'm broke and the weather here screws with cars... If I had the money to fix it, I would. There's nothing inherently wrong with DSMs, it's just that they get beat on for almost their entire lives and are rarely ever maintained properly.
