Can you guy's (and girls) please list what you think is about your average fps in aa, and the maps that you are getting those fps in, also please list your system specs. The reason I ask...is because I have been having problems with my computer for ages now and I was hoping this new MOBO and video card would fix it...but alas. In CSAR I only get about 30 average. In Insurgent Camp (crap is that what it's called?) I get around 30. Sandstorm I get around 40 but that's cause' I can't see very far. Here are my system specs:

AthlonXP 1700+
Sapphire 9800 Pro
1024GBs Kingston Value Ram.
40gig Maxtor DM8+
MSI K7N2 Delta

I really appreciate any info you guy's can get back to me!

Well, with the rig in the sig, it depends on the map, and if your looking around outside, inside, etc.

On mtn pass for example, I only get 30-40 most of the time. Same thing in SF Hospital. When I'm outside, I only get 30-40. I have found, (used to have a 5200, then a 9600xt), that the 9800pro doesnt always give more fps, but it doesnt lock up in firefights like the 5200 would. To me, the biggest advantage isnt the fps, but that I can play any map with almost no lag, jumping around, etc.

Now when I'm inside on a map, fps are never below 60.

My friend with a ti4600 gets pretty good fps, but he gets laggy in heavy firefights. I get just a little better fps, but never lag. The game got much easier.

So, does your computer ever bog down? Dont measure the card on the fps, but on how well the game plays.

Jose.

512mb 266mhz ram
ATI Radeon 9600XT
intel mobo (Dell)
sb live! value

Inside for instance on pipeline i get 50-60 fps, outside 30-40. With details ultra high
on sandstorm, i get 40-50 fps. With details ultra low

i get no lock ups during fire fights

I haven't checked my frames in awhile but when I did awhile back it was something in the 50s most of the time. Thats at 1280x1024, 16x AA, all details set to the highest setting and on CSAR. My rig is in my sig. I drop into the 30s sometimes, especially if there is a lot of smoke grenades going off.

I'll be playing some today and will report back later with more accurate results.
