What's Your Favourite Style of French Fries?

This plus horsey sauce = awesome.

One of my favorite is a heavily battered waffle fry that is almost over cooked. Waffle fries *HAVE* to be crispy. I want to like Chic Fil A waffle fries...but they are always too soggy.

Order them well done. They have a button for that.

I usually hate being "That guy" that wants the special fry order. Especially when the Chic Fil A's around here have eleventy billion people in line all hours of the day.

I dont discriminate with fries.... I'm totally mixed too - I fucking love me some waffle fries from Chik-Fil-A, and I think they taste best without ketchup.

Then there are very skinny / string fries are fucking awesome too....

Then there are standard fries like Whataburger (similar to McD) fries that are nice and crispy - but these I think taste best with some nice ketchup (preferably heated ketchup).

Fries in the shape of chips that are crispy are fucking awesome too. Also sweet potato fries can be yum as well.


That said, I will discriminate against one fry - fuck that crinkle cut or "steak fries" shit where 90% of it is just potatoes inside. I would hope ATOT could agree that shit is horrible... with or without ketchup

Thin cut and well done. Best I've ever had were from the local franchise of Taste of Philly. A big ol' tub of them.

But they're so much better when they're actually crispy... I don't think it's quite on the same level as ordering fries without salt.
