A bit out of left field maybe, but mine is,

Deltron 3030 (2000)

It has it all. Killer tunes, and perhaps the best lyrics ever written. Every song a gem. Not the 1 good song and the rest filler. I think one of the last ever real rap CD's. Where lyrics still ws considered artform.

I hope they come out with a new one.

Deltron 3030... best lyrics? LOL. Bis will sh!t all over Del... the only two songs I like on this album are 'Mastermind' and 'Virus'. But sometimes its just funny listening to how nerdy Virus is.

Illmatic is the GOAT, but Rip the Jacker is my favorite.

Dr. Dre doesn't even write his own lyrics.
It should only be listened to for the beats..

Speaking of beats though.. I don't really like Dre's style. Most of his beats have that signature professional sound, which is the complete opposite of a hip hop beat.

Real hip hop beats = DJ Premo, Pete Rock, Marley Marl, RZA.
