Whats your favorite way to rip music CDs?

What proggie do you use? I'm not talking about actually burning the CD, but rather what do you use to rip the songs off a CD?

EAC + MPC (use on computer)

Monkey... because its lossless. Simple as that. The quality is exactly the same as on CD.

EAC. Then Lame for mp3's... although I use ogg vorbis too. I would use monkey's audio or FLAC if i had the space on the hard drive.

monkey (*.APE file) is lossless
lame mpe is lossy

lossless meaning, it won't compress as small as a lossy file but if you were to decode back to wav, it would be exactly the same. Matching CRC or md5 checksums
can't say the same for lossy

currently i use EAC .. MPC and APE .. ill use APE for other encoding when a better lossy codec comes out. right now, MPC is hands down the best.

Although theoretically, fair use doesn't exist anymore - but they can kiss my ass if they think I'm going to hear a word of that.
