What's your favorite video game, all time, any platform?

I wouldn't say it was my all-time favorite, but does anyone recall an old game from the C64 where you had to use some kind of drill or jackhammer and piece together a platform to get to the next level? It was like a timed puzzle and the pcs had to go together in a certain way to get it to work.

Ahhh that's a tough question...Mario Kart (SNES) was a great game...so was Final Fantasy 7...both Baldur's Gates were great...I guess I'd have to say the original BG is my favorite game of all time.

Too hard to choose just one...

Arcade: Tekken 3

Tekken Tag was too easy, I beat it the first time I ever played it (three weeks ago).

PC: Descent II

The first PC game I ever played all the way through. Final boss was too easy, but other than that it rocked. Two-player via dialup was a blast as well.

Gameboy: Tetris 🙂

Viper GTS

Yo_Ma-Ma, that sounds like hard hat mack, if i'm not mistaken.

or at least the game's really similar to it...played that on my apple ][e

too many games to think of just one. but if i had to name one that had it all, it would be black magic for the apple. closest thing to diablo back in the day (even if it was a sideways scroller at heart), and between the arcade action, trying to ration your supply of arrows and the wealth of spells you could cast, that is one game in serious need of a remake.

Say kru, since you know about (had) ][es, do you remember a game where you flew a helicopter, rescued POWs, strategically launched tanks, jeeps, ground troops, etc. and protected them, in an effort to overrun (special jeep had to get into enemy base), the ememy base before the enemy overran yours?

Or anyone? It was a great game!

I remember Choplifter! That's on my list!

I'd have to say Combat, Warlords or Pitfall for the Atari. For purely sentimental reasons.
