It is a local place here in Little Rock. The name is "Sonny Williams Steak Room". It is absolutely fantastic. Fairly expensive though.

It will probably come as a surprise to many of you but allot of the steak houses listed get their product from the same places. The steaks are pre cut, marinaded and packaged up for some 16 yr old drop out to throw on the grill. Even the ones who claim "cut fresh daily" purchase from the same places.. So save yourselves a couple bucks and go to western sizzlin or another cheap place..

Seriously people, Ruth Chris and Outback??

This is about as awesome as the best of Las Vegas readers poll picking Olive Garden and Taco bell as best italian and mexican restaurants respectively every single year. Just because they are all over the place doesnt make them the best!!!

My vote from up there is Flemmings, but really

Prime in Bellagio = #1
Kraft Steak in MGM = #2 (this used to be #1 but last time I went the service wasnt as good, still great food)

Shula's is decent. Probably the best steak I've had comes from a local place...

I cant beleive some of those places even made it to your poll.. Outback? Longhorns? Ponderosa? Please those joints dont serve steak.. They serve random cuts of beef that a HS dropout throws on a grill and call it "steak"

Tavern on Rush in Chicago is pretty good, River Palm Terrace in Fair Lawn, NJ too... If you want real steak and dont want to cook it yourself, stick to the restaurants where beef is the only thing on the menu, not the franchises that serve you third class meat.

Edit: Of the 7 people that actuallty voted for Outback, can I safely assume that this is the ONLY place you have ever eaten "steak?"

Ruth's Chris is consistently good across all locations. As for Outback...

Ruth's Chris is good, but Peter Luger is better :)

Outback is OK, anyway... Although they're kind of the Olive Garden or Red Lobster of Steak Houses.

Manero's absolutely rocks.

Peter Luger's FTW!!

Now if we're talking about gorging, the Texas de Brazil wins. :) (Not ALL steak there...but close enough)

i dont much care for steakhouses, though ive never been to a really high end one either.

surprisingly, theres a place called Tuscons in Salina thats pretty good. id never go myself because i dont care for eating out like that, but my parents have taken me twice. once, the strip steak was perfectly seared, and the second the prime rib was like butter. i was surprised.

the fries and stuff sucked it, but whatever, i didnt pay anyway

i prefer to buy my own meat and grill it myself, after marinading for 24 hours

Except, why the hell would you marinade it for 24 hours? Do you want to remove ALL flavor from the meat?
