The topic says it all,

I've been trying to use Front Page 2000 for a few months and i just completely had this damn thing. I have the vision in my head the way i want things to look like but then when i put Front Page to work it just royally sucks.

I'm just wondering what your favorite programs are maybe i should go and buy something else?

Microsoft InterDev. It's not very good, but that's what they give us.

I have Visual Studio.NET installed on my PC so InterDev is going bye-bye once we move to ASP.NET.

Notepad on Windows machines. And when I did my CGI program for my Computer Science class at school, I wrote those pages in VI.

ColdFusion Studio 5 (same as Homesite, but some other bonuses for rapid development). Dreamweaver MX is a disappointing upgrade for it. Bring back the Studio!

Homesite 4.5-5.0.

notepad/wordpad are fine until you develop more complicated sites, at which point the tools in homesite streamline the process incredibly.

Sorry but I just had to look at the newbie web designers' thread to see how many pricks came and posted "notepad" :)

The point is if you know what the f*ck you are doing, it doesn't matter what editor you are using.

They're only tools. If you don't have the skillz, no editor can save you.

So if you have skills you should pay through the nose to have some program do something you can do from scratch?
