I just started watching Smallville and its pretty good. I've heard Farscape is excellent but I've yet to see it.

Can someone tell me what 24 is about, and is Alias a sci fi based show?

Oh yeah what are your favorite sci fi programs

I like DS9 and Voyager too, but not as much. I can't wait for the TNG DVDs to come out this month. :D

SG1, the Stargate Episodes.

Farscape is ok

The rest is crap compared to those two.

But Scifi is always fun :)

you better :p

I watched it from season1 to season 4 with few friends of mine and we all agree that this is the best scifi series ever, cant wait for season 5 to be released on video so we can continue (though I cheated a bit, watched a few of the episodes in school)

I wish that the networks would make their old seasons available on DVD

for example I would love to get my hands on Lois and Clark, all of the Batman/Xmen/Justice League animated episodes on DVD

I just bought a PVR (replay) a few weeks ago so I'm working on capturing some good scifi, I'm hoping to eventually burn entire episodes on CD

Have you watched Jeremiah yet, its the new show with Luke Perry and Malcolm Jamal Warner. From what I've seen in the first episode it seems like it has promise

hmm never even heard of it....

Seems interesting according to their own site and imdb, just hope it stays fresh, stargate is still fresh after 4 seasons:)

True classics: The Twilight Zone, Star Trek: TOS..
Syndicated classics: ST: TNG, X-Files..
Modern classic-to-be: Enterprise..

Those are my favorites.. out of all of them, I'd miss sex for X-files.. but then again, I'm married ;-)

cheers,
---jb

My likes and dislikes:

Andromeda: It's pretty interesting and has lots of eye candy. For some strange reason, I like Kevin Sorbo in the role..
Voyager: People put this down a lot, but out of all the Trek series, I like this the best.
TNG: Like someone else said, it's too preachy, and the "technobabble" Geordi spouts is annoying.
DS9: Too much pseudo-religious Bajoran crap. Plus, the Federation couldn't run a war with the Dominion to save its life.
Farscape: Haven't watched it since the first season, but what I did see was quite good. Have to get back into this one.
SG1: I watch the occasional episode, and they're good, for the most part.
Babylon 5: The best, IMHO, without a doubt (except for the first and fifth seasons). The Shadows RULE!
Babylon 5: Crusade: Totally and completely lame. My understanding is the bean counters (network execs, etc.) intervened too much here.
Earth2: Haven't watched a full episode, but it looked pretty lame.
Lexx: Very stupid. Unbelievably stupid. Cheezy, corny, bad acting, and did I say stupid? But the chick is hot in a slutty way...

Farscape is my favorite sci-fi so far. I just got into it though... I saw the premiere and just got hooked about a month ago. I DLed every episode. 19gigs .
Then I'd say TNG, DS9, X-Files(when it was good), Andromeda
I haven't seen much of Stargate or B5. I watched an Earth: Final Conflict, and it's cr@p.

Heh.. In my opinion, that's not SF, that's just bad acting. If you want to see John Lithgow in something good, watch "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension".. This movie's got everyone including Lithgow, Peter Weller, Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Lloyd, Yakov Smirnoff..
