Threshold. It stars Mare Winningham, Donald Sutherland and Jeff Goldblum. Great movie about a heart replacement.
I've never seen this (and it doesn't seem to be available on DVD), but if you want to see a movie about heart surgery I highly recommend Something the Lord Made.

It's not on DVD. VHS copies can be found on Amazon. I suppose that's the obscure part. If you read the reviews, you'll see how good Threshold was. A bit ahead of its time, too.

I'll take a look at Something the Lord Made. Thanks.

How was district b13? I saw this trailer yesterday on xbmc; i should've guessed it had already been released in europe. i guess it's time to hit up my favorite torrent site.

my fav obscure movie is

lock, stock and two smoking barrels.

I have always liked Gotcha! for some reason. Just one of those silly 80's movies that no one seems to know about.....but that have been running it lately on one of the HBO channels late at night.

I loved that movie. 🙂

High Strung...I have never laughed so hard in my entire life as when I first saw this movie. It is just a guy that sits in his apartment and complains about life, and Jim Carrey plays death. Sadly, it isn't available on dvd.

Other great ones are: Cloak and Dagger, Crossroads (the Ralph Maccio one from 1986), Rad, and Bad.

If you want to see a truly awful film that is semi obscure, you can also watch the Garbage Pail Kids Movie...
