Shakes the Clown was one of favorite movies for the longest time... Well, I guess it still is. I love it in all it's surrealism... 🙂 (Adam Sandler's 1st movie, BTW!)

Penn and Teller Get Killed was also a good 'un in that vein!

BC Rock was this strange animated caveman movie with a good 80's soundtrack. Adult cartoon. (as in rated R, not X) I wish they'd put it out on DVD. Heck, I'd take a good VHS copy, as mine is crap!

the sting...with paul newman and robert redford. not many of my friends know that movie (for obvious reasons).

blazing saddles with gene wilder. again, not many of my friends know that either.

I'd pick Ingmar Bergman's 'The Seventh Seal', or Henri-Georges Clouzot's 'Wages of Fear'. Yeah, I know both are on the IMDB top 250. 😛

Another honorable mention is this flick: Lacombe Lucien by Lois Malle. It's about a kid who is rejected by the resistance in France during WWII so he joins up with the German police instead. It's a very good movie.

Some of my favorites:

Memphis Belle- Story of the first American Bomber crew to complete their tour of duty, and their last mission. Has Sean Astin and Billy Zane (Before they were famous)

Das Boot- All in german, WW2 german u-boat, and the hell they went through. AMAZING movie.

Rubin and Ed

A comedy with Crispin Glover that's just amazingly quirky, offbeat and makes me and my girlfriend crack up.
