Very strange Wim Wenders movie (I think all of his are, except for Buena Vista Social Club). But AMAZING soundtrack - Nick Cave, U2, Talking Heads, REM to name a few.
The Music Man - (Gary Indiana, Marian the Librarian, Wells-Fargo Wagon...how could you not like those?)
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat - Every song is great!
Red October's was awesome! I almost forgot about that. My college radio station has a Music in Film show at 5 am on SUnday mornings. One time I was still up from Saturday night and I called in and requested the theme from The Hunt for Red October after watching the movie. I couldn't believe they actually had it!
I second Natural Born Killers. Also, I remember thinking the soundtrack to Pleasentville was cool when I watched it (the actual music that plays in the background during the movie, not the CD soundtrack with the more modern bands you can buy). I don't remember it much, but I do remember really liking it at the time.
And now that I scan what some others said in the thread, I also second American Beauty (the whacky side of awesome) and Dazed and Confused.
