Paulson..if you dont even own a Plextor, how do you promote it soo confidently? :)

Yamaha for me....I've used Mitsumi's, HP's, Sony's, Memorex's, and a few more...

I've used/owned/own/use Plextors, Sony, AOpen, HP, Yamaha, Ricoh, TDK, Iomega. Almost everyone you can imagine. I would pick Plextor as the best and Yamaha as second. Personnally, i'm using a Plextor with now.

My favorite is Yamaha. Plextor is excellent, so is TEAC and HP.

As I said in a similar thread like this one:

If God owned a CDRW, it would be a Plextor.

There should be a warning on the forum home page telling people that the best burners are plextors and best monitors are made by Sony... There would only be half the threads there are right now. :)

I have also gone through my fair share of CD-RW's including Plextor, Yamaha, HP and Ricoh. I currently use 2 Plextors and gave my old Yamaha to my sister. I would rate Plextor #1 and Yamaha #2 with HP a close 3'rd. I would not own another Ricoh...lots of little problems.

If you rate the HP a third, Sony makes the HP 9000 series drives I believe. Owner of a new 12/10/32 Plextor

Never used a Plextor, so i want comment on them. I have used several TEACs and Yamahas and have been VERY impressed by them.

My Ricoh external I don't think much of. Many audio disks don't read well. CDRW is slow anyway, I only use it for backups of compressed files from the microsoft backup now...
