And how are they to work on... Consolidating my two primary computers would be ideal and I wouldn't be opposed to the price as long as tweaking them is very convenient/accessible. I couldn't find additional pics of the cases, only the one product shot but no internal shots to see how they open etc.

To you and tylerdustin2008, what are disadvantages or complaints about these, besides the obvious size and price?
I'll try to keep this short...

If you want to put two mobos in one case, you'll want to get the MM Duality.

Look at this page and you'll see the Duality was recently awarded the "OCIA.NET Seal of Approval".

Below that, you'll see the Opti-1203 was recently rated 5/5 Stars by XTREMESYSTEMS.ORG.

Either one would be a good choice, IMHO.

Yes, there is plenty of room for oversized coolers - plenty! Convenience/accessibility is unsurpassed! Everything comes apart with little thumbscrews. You don't even need a screwdriver...

Personally, I don't have ANY complaints with the U2-UFO, et al, not even the price! LoL!

Mountain Mods rocks! If you don't see what you want, let them know and they'll build a custom case to YOUR design. No kidding! They'll give you a price, and deliver the case on the date promised. These guys are the best!
Very insightful review on the Duality.

Thanks for the feedback, the passion from U2 owners for their cases is convincing.

I've pretty much decided I will get the Duality. Given how much room there is for expansion and mods etc., I don't see how it wouldn't be a great investment for a long time. The $400 is a little harder to part with for a case than I thought, but I expect to be able to pull the trigger within a few weeks.

Currently a 8 year old compaq tower.
I needed room for the newer video cards and had this case sitting idle.
It has tons of room in it.
Its built like a tank and weighs probably about 60 lbs.
Built back when they made towers strong enough to support your car :)

Easy on the eye, Built like a tank.
Tons of space. Great air flow.
Most if all holds all off my water cooling gear.

Baaa I am sooo jealous of all of you having a UFO... It would cost wayyyy to much for me to get one into Canada....

TT sucks...

~Cool... Welcome to the club, almost!

Yeah, my case was like $430 delivered, but you know what?!?!? It's not like it's gonna go out of style any time soon. Besides, I could always sell it (bare) on eBay for 200-300 bones - not that I ever would do that. What would I possibly replace it with, you know?

So, really, what's the cost of ownership? In the long run, U2-UFOs are priceless!

The only 'bad part' about owning a Mountain Mods case, if you will, is trying to figure out what you want to do with it - they're so highly customizable, and the possibilities so limitless.

LoL! I've been working on mine for over a year, and truthfully, I know I'll NEVER be done... :D

Here's a link for you - kinda hard to find this section on the MM web site. It's basically every product they offer, in reverse chronological order, from today to the day they opened for business. Sorta interesting, IMHO, and a LOT easier than looking up stuff individually.

@ drakore: I *feel* your pain!

I have looked everywhere for the PC I just ordered. But can't find anywhere on the net .

I am a male nurse at the spine center in the twin cities. I went to a doctor friends home for a party. His entertainment room was unreal. Or so I thought.
When I seen his PC I couldn't believe my eyes . It was unbelievable. It was called the Betty. This thing was so cool I can't hardly discribe it. But I will try.

First it was a huge About 20" wide 20" depth and 40" tall Custom painted gloss black.

Here is what this Had on the front side.

1). 12" touch screen lcd that came out and angled down at a touch of a button.

2) 2 GGW- H10N blue ray/HD combo drives

3 ) A windowed 6 tube flow control watercooling system . It was fantastic . Only 5 tubes were being used at the time . But each loop could be controled from the front panel it was stunning to behold.

4) Denon DVD 5910C DVD player intergrated into the case.

5) Denon AVR-580CI - This thing was unbelievable . Also intergrated into the case.

It had 4 side window 2 on each side. The lower 1 had the Motherboard installed in it . Off course it was a quad core intel. On a asus M/B O/C to 3.5. The M/B sat in the hor. position and the aluminium surrounding it was polished to mirror finish . The effects were stunning never seen anything like it. The tubes for the water came straight down from the upper compartment were the rads and pumps were and PS. The tubes were high luster copper . You couldn't see a wire anywere except were the plugged in. Best wire management I have ever seen.Best tube management I have ever seen.
The upper compartment which had 2 side windows also Had 4 huge single fan rads. The rads were stunning to look at.Polished copper . They had 140 mm yate loons for fans . I really cant describe how this looked inside as I haven't ever seen anything like it.
But it had 2 pumps Alphacool I believe and 2 copper y blocks(polished) going to and from the Flow control system . Again not a wire to be seen except were they came out of the PS.
Thats it . Thats what my Doctor friend had, I aked him about it . So he told me where he got it and gave me the phone number. I asked what he paid for the system and he told me a little over $25,000. My mouth dropped to the floor. But you could not here this thing running . I asked about the HD's and he said it had 7/ 6 raptors and 1 samsung I believe running in raid 6.

I asked if all these PC's were that expensive. He said no there is one other model for Gaming. This was what I wanted to here.
So I call this raid computers place and asked about the gaming system and asked how much. Starting price was $10,000 and up. My heart stopped I was hoping to here 5or 6 thousand. So I asked how to get to his store he gave me directions to his house as he said visitors weren't allowed at the shop.
So I drive 75 miles to this guys place . He had a display room setup and only 2 PC's in it. So we got to talking and I told him I was interested and he said that in order to get one of his PC a 50% down payment was required. Which I could understand since these are custom systems
He asked if I would like to demo a machine that he just completed. I said ya sure. The system said it was a c2d 6800 running at 3.85GHz. Iasked about it and he said thats comes that way. I was impressed. It only had 2 compartments the M/B section and the PS/ rads/ pumps . It also had the 12" touch screen LCD in the front and the 6 tube flow control system . Again only 5 were being used. I asked about that and he said upgradeability. FOR 2 socket M/B I said cool he laughed. This thing was very fast I doubt very much that Falcon / Alien ware or anyother PC could match this performance other than self builds. I really liked the name of the PC also. Dark Star.

I asked about the other PC he had sitting there . He said that One is mine. He asked if I would like to play around with it. I said sure thing I bet this thing is fast. I open it up and Go to system and No name . But it says 4 core running at 4.4 GHZ. I about shit myself. I asked what processor it was and he says its a Yorkfield . I couldn't believe my ears. I said your kidding right. I could tell by the way he said NO and looked at me . That he meant it. So I hit the start menu and all these bench programms were loaded I mean everyone I know off and more.

He said pick one bench or a game either or . I choose a bench 3D mark 06. I ran the full bench and I was stunned by the score. Of course it was a XF ati setup. I am not allowed to say what score was as he made me promise.

Well I decided that I would buy the cheapest Dark Star I could which comes without the front lcd touch screen but everthing else was standard other than custom paint . I like Anodized brushed aluminium anyway.
I asked about yorkfield and he said for $500 more that He would install the highest clocked one when its available. and I could keep the 6850 I choose.
He also talked me into the 38X chipset M/B . I kind was going to say no . But he said that it would be awhile before I recieved my Dark Star anyway as he had 5 Betty's and 4 Dark Stars ahead of me. So I gave him $6000 check and am patiently waiting for my new rig.
I can't help but get all goosebumpy every time I think about it.

I actually like using my really old beige case with an 80mm intake and a 80mm exhaust. I built the computer within 45 minutes with no frills and nothing to mess with...

At the Moment I love the SILVERSTONE SG01 Evolution w/ window. I just went Small Form Factor and could not be happier.
I had a LIAN LI PC-65. For full form cases, that was awesome.

I like the Qmicra v2 alot, but for more than 300 bucks, no thanks.

Depends what you want your case to do? I have a NSK2400 and I love it, it works great for what I use it for.

If I wanted a mid tower case, I would go for the P180

Full tower cases is a waste of space imo.

Sounds both remarkable and just plain wierd at the same time! No visitors??? Can't disclose benchmarks??? lol

4.4ghz is hard to believe, especially with all of these other oddities...please post pics AND benchmarks when you get the system. :)

I will most definitly post picks. Ya your right this guy is wierd. But his integrity is the best I have ever seen. He even told me that for someone in my income. That this was not a smart buy . But I insisted.
As for the Yorkfield it was running at 4.4 ghz. and cpu V. was 1.39. He told me it runs at higher GHZ but not stable. He also told that when I get my york. These will be the GHZ. that I will have.

Oh ! another thing I found strange , I don't know what their called . But he has seals on the Panels and if they are broken the 5 year warranty is invalid. Same as the bios. He locks the bios with password. If you reset the bios. and he can get into the bios without the password void warranty.

He told me if I have a problem call and it will be taken care of that day. If he has to take pc back to shop . I would have a loner of same quality till repairs are made.

As for no shop vistors. Thats really not unusual. When I was tech . Alot of companies allowed no vistors in the shop. I drove by his shop and its very modest. But his componets are all top quality. Now I don't know this as fact. But when it comes to water cooling I believe this guy is probably the best their is bar none. All others are on a lower level. I asked him why 4 large single fan rads and he said when I get mine I would understand. Or just look at the water cooling compartment in front of you. and the lay out after doing so I could see the reasoning behind it. I asked where he got the rads. He said they make them . But its really not his design . He just copied another design(160) and his was not better just more labor involved in the overall appearance. As for the case again he said he ripped off the design. He didn't tell me who's . But he said all he could do was match the design of the case itself other than the added compartments quality was equal to it. Inso far as the case. Than he showes me the liner Actuators that move the 12" touch screen lcd out from the case and tilts the screen. He said his were of much higher quality and cost . Same with the LCD itself higher quality and cost. He sold me in more ways than one. I honestly feel for the first time in my life I have meet someone I can trust with my life.
As I said this guy is weird but in a most excellant way. Integrity is a vary hard quality to come by these days and this fella has loads of it. He is not a sells man he just a guy that believes in quality as No. 1 everthing else is secondary.
I always thought I was pretty good tech , But he shames me and I suspect many others play second fiddle to this fella. I only talked to him for about an hour after looking at his work and talking with him . I was more than inpressed with his openness and candor.

He gave me a list of a few of his customers and I called I few. All said the same thing . Very highest quality O/C gaming pc on the market. Probably the fastest. . If any had problems none said so.

SO thats it. I am done with this thread . But when I recieve my DARK STAR . I will start another thread. I am sure many will love it but will flame the cost of these PC's. SO what my $$$ my life. NONE will flame the layout appearance quality or the performance. THAT is what I want. I have neither the talent or time to = what I bought and paid for. Than there is the quality of the man himself. I am sold.

No loving for the old-school Chenming/Chieftec Dragon cases? I really like those, big like a CM STacker or TT armor, and a good mix of 3.5 and 5.25 bays, plenty of cooling fan spots, and overall very solid, IMHO.

Hey, im the second member of your club. And my U2 is probably the second most pimped out in this forum. The first being tylers with phase.

But out of all the most efficient, mine would probably be at the top with the most crap fitting into it, and most definitely has the greatest cooling power in entire case setting.

So i cant get my cpu to load up -40C like tyler can, :p but i'll be paying a whole lot less with near or same overclock on electricity bill. :D

i don't have a real favorite but to me a mid tower with two 120mm fans one in the front for intake and one in the back something sleek and clean looking

currently own an Antec Solo two 92mm in the front, one 120mm in the back :D
